In My Fantasy, We're Running Wild: Jessie J, Big Sean & Dizzee Rascal - "WILD" (Luxury Rap?)

Newly buzzed-n-bleached British songstress Jessie J has recruited 2 sharp-tongued rappers from both sides of the pond, Dizzee Rascal & Big Sean, for her latest genre-blending single, "WILD." It's the world's first taste from her forthcoming currently untitled sophomore album, which has already been described as quite the sonic departure from Who You Are (2011); But on the other hand, Jessie J herself dually described "WILD" as "a very small reflection of what the album sounds like" and noted that she's still as nervous as she was when releasing her debut full-length. In addition to shaving her head on live TV back in March, Jessie J's become something of a British mega-star, gaining additional notoriety as a judge on The Voice UK. "WILD" comfortably sits @ #42 on iTunes' Pop Charts after being released about a month ago and has raked up nearly 1,500,000 YouTube views in just a matter of days. Needless to say, this is a very different Jessie J than most Americans initially heard on her B.o.B.-assisted wholesome/sassy break-out single, "Price Tag" and and it's companion Pop radio-friendly follow-up, "Domino."

Ushered in by complete silence, besides high heel-on-floor clatter, Jessie J slowly disrobes down to some sort of classy-looking bra and high-waisted bottom combo before dramatically launching into "WILD"'s opening refrain; "If this is a dream - won't open my eyes. Am I asleep? No, I'm alive." Inter-spliced between shots of revealing leopard print body paint, Jessie J slithers her way across various sound stages through out the black-and-white Emil Nava-directed music video. Following a slight beat [tempo] switch-up, enter: G.O.O.D. Music (Def Jam) foot soldier and rising emcee, Big Sean. I have to say, he's rocking a fairly odd-looking shirtless fur coat get-up and honestly, kinda raps a little off beat. But strangely, this club-ready Urban R&B-tinged jam somehow seamlessly melds "Hot Fire" Rap skills and Jessie J's top-notch singing chops. Following her questionable "D-D-Dizzie" intro, Grime figurehead Dizzie Rascal appears on-screen with a witty East London-accented verse about his sudden rise to fame, which keeps in line with the track's pre-established overall theme. While Jessie J's busy finishing up her currently untitled new album, Island/Universal Republic will release the WILD EP on July 8-9th, in the meantime.

[W]reckless, Topless American Youth: Lana del Rey - "Born 2 Die" (Britney Spears Birthday 30)

Lana del Rey [Lizzy Grant] effectively became 2011's "It Girl" with the release of her phenomenal debut single, "Video Games" (Stranger) . Like many struggling singer-songwriters, Grant has been signed, dropped, and significantly changed her public image since bursting onto the scene (2009). With that said, it can be assumed that Lana del Rey has collected just as many "haters" as she has avid supporters. To be perfectly honest, the only other artist I can think of that made this much commotion... garnered so much wide-spread buzz/hate and critical acclaim -- right out of the gates -- with just one track is Britney Spears . And maybe in this post- Mike musical era, that's the true synthesis of Pop Culture: Britney Lynn Spears . After months of repeated teasing and speculation, Lana del Rey 's major label debut, Born 2 Die will [finally] be released this coming Jan. 30-31, 2012. Pitchfork reports that it will feature "Off to The Ra

Lindsay Lohan essentially embodies exactly "What NOT to Do In Hollywood :" Fame, fortune, success... sex, drugs & Rock "N" Roll . Within a fairly short period of time, Lohan somehow managed to obtain a plentiful helping of POWER @ a very young age. This gradual rise-downfall was captured on film; Between 1998-2010, she portrayed a wide array of roles across the silver screen in movies including: Mean Girls, Bobby , Herbie Fully Loaded , Georgia Rule, Machete , and Freaky Friday . Between rapid-paced film shoots, Lindsay Lohan also found time to record 2 Pop Rock albums for Casablanca , Speak (2004) and A Litter More Personal-Raw (2005). Needless to say, Lindsay Lohan has gotten roped up in a lot of troubles and woes with the law over the last 3-5 years... a vicious cycle of drugs, arrest, court, rehab, "daddy issues," jail time [Repeat]. That's the pure basics of it - But Google that shit for additional info, if necessary. Towards the end of
